RUBBER Technologies

SLOW REBOUND

The better the tire's tread is at maintaining contact with the terrain, the better the tire's traction. Tioga's softer compound rubber conforms best to uneven terrain for increased tread to surface contact.

Twist a knob of any tire featuring this compound, and you will notice that it comes back to the original shape very slowly. This unique slow rebound capability minimizes the "pogo stick" effect and provides the most stable riding over "washboard" and other bumpy terrains.

High Energy Rubber is best for cross country and endurance type trail riding.

HIGH ENERGY RUBBER

The first long wearing, low rolling resistance rubber that does not sacrifice cornering grip!

Lab test data shows our proprietary rubber blend improves the ratio between cornering force and rolling resistance by more than 10% in dry and more than 30% in wet conditions, even compared to our renowned original compound.

Slow Rebound Rubber is best for technical, aggressive terrain applications.

Casing Technologies

APEX DH CASING

Casing rigidity becomes very important for high speed applications. A casing that retains its shape allows you to aim the tread to where you want, and adds to the stability. Additional stiffness of the casing also reduces pinch flats.

Tioga's proprietary APEX casing is designed with a stiff yet lightweight core layer within the casing for ultimate rigidity.

APEX casing is best for downhill racing applications.

MAGNUM 66

When a tire is expected to perform in rough, technical terrains, a supple yet durable casing is required. MAGNUM66 casing combines supple 66 TPI cords and an external layer of rubber for added stiffness and resistance to abrasion. This very fine balance of casing suppleness and rigidity allows the tire to perform under technical terrains at higher speeds.

MAGNUM66 casing is best for hardcore freeride application.

CYLEX 127 TPI FEATHER LITE CASING

If you need to shed weight from your tire without compromising its strength, look no further!

Through Tioga's exclusive manufacturing process, our CYLEX casing packs finer fiber in higher density, and minimizes the rubber needed to bond them together. The result is the highest fiber to rubber ratio ever achieved. CYLEX casing saves a whopping 85 grams (3 ounces) on a 26" x 2.1" tire, while retaining 90% of the strength compared to standard 66TPI casing.

To top it off, you will surely appreciate the softer ride feel this featherweight, supple casing provides when riding over rugged terrain.
